I`m back again. Sold the Avant TDi, i wanted a quattro. After spending much time thinking what to buy, i went for the Competition. I dont regret it :D











Already did the first two mods: headlights and BC

Last pic? The Clocks? I installed the BC and the control stick yesterday. It was with no BC.

I cleaned the engine today, it was really dirty.

i think nicer would be s-line i have question yiu had normal clocks right and now you put with BC i there any technical problems? doest it need any electric mods? and how much cost in your country that toy?

It is very easy to install. It is plug and play. Remove the minicheck, put in the BC, change the stick with the one with bc buttons, put some wires to ground, some to the original connector of the minicheck and plug a wire to the consumption signal. That`s it.

It is difficould to get a bc in my country, i buy most of the stuff from ebay.

They mounted the tow hook. On a car like this?!? They cut the rear bumper, and destroyed the original mounts. Luckly i had one spare set at home :D

It has also a liittle hole for the autocheck sensor for the water level.

This is the oridinary compared to the big one. The big one holds something like 7,5L :D



I only have the bottle. I will buy all other things needed new from audi. It should not cost much. Oh yeah, the pumps will be. I will get them from ebay.de :D

Number 15 is the pump. A pipe goes from there to the T piece (number 20), there the water splits for each washer, and goes into the reteining valve (number 1). This valve is very important, because stops the water when you stop the pump. Without this, all the water would pour out of the washers because of the pressure of the water in the water bottle. Number 2 is already in the washer itself, it cant be removed. The T piece is something like 1.5€, the reteining valves are a little more expensive, like 10€ each. I got them with the washers, i was lucky :D

Aha you also have the T piece, so you only need the bottle and the water pump. The old pump for the windshield will be ok.

I think that intake manifold would look much more interesting if it was polished, rather than painted in black.

yes, ok, i lied. they are from an audi coupe quattro 2.0 20v, that has 4x108, but the brakes are the same, like are the same on 80 2.8, audi 90 quattro and so on.

i said s2 brakes to make it clear. if i said G60 brakes, than someone might think i took them from a VW with G60 engine, if i said girling 60, everybody would ask whad kind of brakes are they...

s2 brakes makes everything easyer

i merged the B3 warning light stick (4 blinkers), with my sticks. I wanted to do this in my avant, and now it is finally come true. i really hated the button in the middle console, because it has that ugly red square in the middle. i also need space for one more button.

Would you be so kind and have a look on below photo of Competition's engine. I am considering buying this car.
Isn't it little strange? Is there luck of kind of plastic tube on the left side of the picture? (you can see circle hole on the left side)

Yes a tube is missing. that tube brings air to the filter, so it is very important. without it, hot air will be sucked in from the engine compartment, and the engine will loose power.

but the 2.8 also had a 5x112 in option :P

same costs? i can get a NM engine for 500€ with everything, a good 3B/AAN/ABY is 1000€, and the road tax doubles in my country (because of horsepower), with the NM i woudl not pay an € more. (same class).

What i want to do is change from mechanic injection to electronic. The competition drinks 11L of fuel for no reason. The 2.8 also drinks 11, but with 174hp.

And the NM has 160hp, and 200nm torque, 2.0 16v is 140hp and 182nm torque.

i didn't know that tax in you country depends to horsepower od car if it's true, i think thats good idea to swap your engine to 20v good luck
